La Fédération Forge Fonderie sera présente sur le SIAE 2017 (Salon International de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace) en partenariat avec le Lycée Polyvalent Marie Curie (http://marie-curie.lyc.ac-amiens.fr/), l'ESFF (www.esff.fr) et LISI Aerospace (www.lisi-aerospace.com).
Placée sous le thème « Voyage au cœur de l’excellence », l’édition 2017 proposera au sein d’une tente de 3 000m², un parcours immersif et pédagogique. L’Avion des Métiers – Forum Emploi Formation accueille des conférences, des animations, des événements RH sur les thèmes emploi/formation, des visites scolaires de collégiens et lycéens ainsi que de nombreuses délégations officielles.
Cette manifestation se décompose en 2 grands temps forts :
Des démonstrations menées par des élèves et professeurs du Lycée Polyvalent Marie-Curie sur un banc fonderie miniature ainsi que des témoignages de parcours de formation par des élèves de l'ESFF permettront aux jeunes en cours d'orientation ou de formation de s'intéresser aux métiers de la forge et de la fonderie.. Sera également exposé sur notre stand un moteur de drône prêté pas notre adhérent Danielson Engineering (www.danielson-eng.fr).

EFF Annual Report – Europe’s Key Players
Available for download here The 2024 annual report of the European Foundry Federation (EFF) provides a comprehensive overview of the European foundry industry in a particularly challenging economic context. The year 2024 was marked by a widespread slowdown in industrial activity across Europe, affecting both ferrous and non-ferrous foundries. Total foundry production declined significantly due to a drop in demand from key customer sectors – automotive, construction, mechanical engineering, and industrial equipment – combined with high energy costs, increased regulatory pressure, and stronger international competition. Ferrous foundries were the most affected, while the non-ferrous segment showed greater resilience, although it too experienced a decline. The report also highlights the social and structural consequences of this situation: workforce reductions, site closures, and ongoing investment pressures. Despite these challenges, the foundry industry remains a strategic link in European industrial value chains, essential for the energy transition, infrastructure, mobility, and industrial sovereignty. Through this directory and statistical analysis, the EFF reaffirms its role as a reference for sector knowledge and its commitment to a competitive, resilient, and sustainable European foundry industry.
