La Nouvelle Controverse
Yannick Roudaut

ISBN 979-10-92636-00-0

The European Foundry Industry Sentiment Index (FISI) recorded a slight decline in July 2025

The European Foundry Industry Sentiment Index (FISI), published monthly by European Foundry Federation, decreased by 1 point in July 2025, reaching a level of 96.6 points. This represents a slight correction compared to recent months, and in particular to the relatively high growth recorded in June of this year.
Examining the situation in the European foundry market in July 2025, an improvement in the non-ferrous metals market is noticeable.
In terms of expectations for the next six months, foundries are moderately optimistic. The indices for ferrous, steel, and non-ferrous metals show negative trends.

The Business Climate Index (BCI), published by the European Commission, reached -0.71 in July 2025, compared to the previous reading of -0.78 in June 2025.
The Eurozone Manufacturing PMI in August 2025 accelerated and reached a level of 50.5, which means an increase by 0.7 point from 49.8 in July 2025.
In July 2025, the European economy was characterized by an uneven recovery, with continued growth in some EU countries, while others experienced stagnation. Inflation remained stable, and consumption and exports began to rebound, but industry continued to struggle. European Foundry Federation constantly monitors the situation on the European foundry market.
